		This is the major city of [[Ravden\|Ravden]]. It is the capital of [[Çodzenjod\|Çodzenjod]] and the largest city on the main continent.

		It is built around and partially inside the great mountain Zirnashkat at the southern end of the Vozen Mountains. In times of need, the entire city can shelter within it and have stores coupled with magically tended gardens sufficient to survive years. The royal palace is far beneath the earth, built from a naturally occurring series of becrystaled caves that have been worked masterfully and enchanted so the halls are forever filled with light. The throne room itself has been smoothed to a greater extent than the rest of the palace. The floor is tiled with amazonite, carved in the semblance of a twisting dragon. The throne itself is a seemingly natural arrangement of tourmaline crystals in every color of the rainbow. Upon the head of the dwarven Zalarkh is a crown of white gold studded with sapphires. The roof is supported by columns of pure, transparent calcite.

		About 140000 people live within the city walls, the large majority of them dwarves. The total who live nearby and would shelter within the city if it was attacked is around 500000.

		Most middle class people live on the slopes of the Open Arms. The houses get progressively less nice as you go towards the river.

		== 1: The Great Market ==

		The hub of commerce for the southern empire. Each of its eight faces are at least in theory dedicated to one of the eight gods of the Kuruʒ. The symbols of each deity are inset into the stone of the road as wrought dzevv iron, guaranteed to persist untarnished indefinitely. The four crescent buildings around the perimeter are four stories tall and full of the more prosperous shops. The smaller structures in front are covered bazaar stalls, heavily built to stay there for a while but still not as upscale.

		== 2: Soreŋiçk ==

		This tall stone structure is a grand temple to all the gods of the Kuruʒ.

		== 3: Hrandan’s Meet ==

		Known as “The greatest brewhouse nobody likes.” Its reputation comes from its owner Kult Drevik, who is one hell of an asshole. It has no entrances from the main roads, and any customers must take the much smaller alleyway from the east. It still stays in business somehow, perhaps due to the efforts of the few diehard fans of the stout there.

		== 4: Getsejhad Ngammjeg ==

		Translating to “End of the Road”, this huge mead hall serves hundreds of people. Its name advertises that it gives rest to the weary travelers who pass over the great road.

		== 5: The Drowning Well ==

		This well has a sinister reputation, coming from a time about 150 years ago when two children were found dead at its bottom, their arms wrapped around each other. Very recently there have been a cluster of suicides found near it, with no discernible pattern.

		== 6: Seal of the City ==

		This granite arch welcomes visitors into the market with an inscription in Old Dwarvish. It also serves as an overlook for the city’s law enforcement, as it stands about ten stories high. The inscription reads '''TODO: write the inscription'''

		== 7: Tundrev’s Armory ==

		Tundrev is a very devout follower of Angfait. Her reverence is expressed through her crafting, as she makes fine armors of iron and steel.

		== 8: The Hound’s Tooth ==

		This shop sells basic tools and weapons, mostly the product of foundries with minimal working. It’s certainly not where you will find quality weapons, but they are serviceable for a time. It is owned by a human named Hafþyr. He is generally friendly, but is extremely sensitive about his short stature and will respond with anger at any perceived slight to it. His name means ‘little Þyr’, which is a reference to a dwarf who plays a significant role in the legends of the mainland humans.

		== 9: Torvalds Anchor ==

		The most popular inn in the district, this tall stone building serves travelers from around the world.

		== 10: Throneheld Warehouse ==

		This multi-story building holds huge amounts of goods to be sold in the central markets. Individual merchants may rent space within this warehouse from the government.

		== 11: Andreig’s Hole ==

		Despite the less than noble name of this establishment, it is actually a fairly upscale winery. The name actually comes from the inexplicably dry well that is in the center of the courtyard. It’s considered good luck to throw coins down the hole. It is also said that at the bottom is an ancient catacomb. The owner of the store, Andreig, is a middle aged halfling man.

		== 12: Foundry’s Friend ==

		This store keeps up a lively traffic of magic items, themed around heat storage and redistribution. They also make, sell, and repair any tools that a smith may need.

		== 13: The Little Arch Contract Keepers ==

		This establishment serves as a meeting house where legal contracts of all sorts are drawn up. If you wish to temporarily hire anyone, especially for dangerous work, this is where you go. They will guarantee that both sides of the contract hold up the bargain, personally tracking down and punishing those who break contract. The primary lawyer on the team is an elderly dwarf named Kavled. In sa’s youth, sa was an adventuring shaper who came to tire of the distrust between the hirelings and the patrons. Sa decided to form an intermediary in the form of this business.

		== 14: Gevod Koklezeʝ ==

		The “Hall of the Shapers” is the preeminent congregation of magic users in all Sjatak.

		== 15: Silmaren ==

		Though this is just a jewelry store, its owner (a high elf woman by the name of Elnarë) has connections to any noble that you may care to contact.

		== 16: Three Lashes Leatherworkers ==

		This small store crafts fine leather goods. The actual leather production is done further down the river, in the outer reach.

		== 17: Coiviello ==

		This small temple is one of the most elite martial arts training facilities in the world. Its status is nearly impossible to determine from outside; it seems to be a quiet monastery with its walled garden and serene exterior.

		== 18: The Arms of Peidä ==

		This tavern is a haven for wood elves who have come here from the Wooded Cities. They are often distrusted in the city, especially since the start of the war. Here, they have a community centered around their common culture.

		== 19: Dzuvils’ Commons ==

		This park is technically owned by the noble family who reside in the ancient mansion directly to the south. They have made it open to the public for hundreds of years as a show of generosity. The building to the north is also owned by this family, and holds a tavern and several stores.

		== 20: The Beauty of Dawn ==

		This is a den of hedonism, catering to nearly every desire from orgies to drugs.

		== 21: Warrens ==

		Tunnels riddle these slopes. They are inhabited mostly by artisan-class people, who live in the small but luxurious homes carved into the rock. There are numerous entrances on the side into the wall, but a scant few on the outside. These entrances are kept shut except when necessary, and are guarded constantly.<br />
		There are rumors that secret passages to and from the palace connect into these tunnels, which motivates the security. This has not been confirmed, but most learned people agree that it would be pretty silly; such passages could exit in much more hidden and secure places.

		== 22: Wellspring ==

		This is a temple to Hulzreki. In the square outside its entrance, there is a fountain that draws water from the artificial lake above the city. This water is also drawn off to serve the needs of people living within the Open Arms.

		== 23: House of Blood ==

		This is the most advanced hospital in the city. It draws water directly from the aqueduct. This water is used to keep everything clean. The hospital is partially sponsored by the Wellspring, as Hulzreki is tied to both life and water.

		== 24: Trading Houses ==

		These warehouses are run by the city. They see huge amounts of traffic from the trade that comes through. Residence time is rarely more than a day.

		== 25: Staging Fence ==

		This is one of the first buildings that traders see when they enter the city from the Great Road. It is owned by one dwarf, Arkadius Kesaln. He brokers many deals between traders and merchants within the city. With his deal, traders drop off their goods and animals here so that they can be sold off, then do whatever they want until they need to leave again. Instead Arkadius and his people deal with all of the sale, and take a large cut for the service. There are allegations that Arkadius hires thugs to pressure anyone not making use of his services into deals with him. Destroying the goods of competitors stealthily is a primary tactic.
