		Trolls are long-limbed monstrosities that predate anything they can sink their claws into, from deer to rabbits to humanoids. Fortunately they are very solitary hunters. The only time you will see more than one troll together is during the mating season, in the deeps of winter.

		Their astounding healing abilities are powered internally. Like a lot of other healing magic, it uses the life within the organism to heal wounds in the short term at the expense of prematurely aging them. Due to this, trolls live at most 10 years in the wild. If they are protected and are kept from wounds, they can live more like 14. In either case they tend to die of cancer which grows rapidly out of control due to their magic. Their regeneration takes a huge amount of energy intake. This has driven them to be omnivorous. They can tolerate decaying foods and this allows them to scavenge. They still are driven to hunt for a large amount of their energy needs.

		== Range ==

		Trolls and their near relatives can be found all across the globe. The most common non-furred variety is native to the Shimur Devulok.

		Yetis (a variety of hairy troll) are mostly found in the Voztu tan Pozkor. Some of them have migrated to the Vozen and find better pickings but more danger. The population in each set of mountains is kept rather small by the danger and food pressures.

		Smaller varieties of hairy troll roam the northern tundras. These have the same statistics as normal trolls but with cold resistance added on.

		There is even one species of troll on Jörðin, very similar to the trolls in the Shimur. These are generally more heavy-set, with shorter legs (-5 feet walking speed) and stronger arms (+1 strength) that allow them to drop down from the trees to perform ambushes.

		== Training ==

		It is possible to train a troll to use weapons and even armor. The orcs are particularly good at this and may have up to half a dozen trolls attached to a clan of 60. When the clans unite against a common enemy and form a true army, the trolls are used as shock troops. The goblins have learned a fear of trolls from these occurrences.
