Loci

Extremely intense concentrations of an energy type can cause a breach into the Æther, forming a location where energy of that type flows freely into the world. These locations are called loci.

Æther

This locus is found at the magnetic pole. It gives shapers of all sorts almost unlimited power, but it is very easy to overload and destroy yourself.

Heat

Deep within the volcano Kærruk is a heat locus. Pyromancers are able to draft far more than normal at a far faster rate than normal. This is why the Dzevv forges are there. As the city of Çodzen controls this foundry, they control most of the trade in Dzevv metals on Ravden. Indeed, because of the skill of the wrights and smiths, Kærruk’s production is preferred even in Jörðin where they have other volcanoes that they could use to smelt their ores instead.

Life

At the base of the Kveðjan is an enormous tree, nearly 15 meters in diameter. It is the center of the life locus.

Electricity

The fort Kjalkar Freyjan was built around the electricity locus. Weavers within the fort can cast lightning bolts to dominate the river.

Kinetic

The kinetic locus is a meteorite impact crater found in the far south.
